About Saint Lawrence
St. Lawrence School is a Catholic educational institution under the Archdiocese of Miami, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. Established in 1957, the school is celebrating its 65th anniversary this academic year. CHALLENGE
The school's existing PA System was outdated, limited to a single location for announcements, and lacked user-friendly documentation. The low-powered speakers were barely audible in classrooms, especially during active teaching sessions. The system also lacked the flexibility to target specific groups of classrooms and had no outdoor speakers. Moreover, it was incapable of scheduled bell ringing or broadcasting emergency messages.
SOLUTION
We upgraded St. Lawrence to an IP-based PA System that integrated effortlessly with their existing VoIP system. This allowed announcements to be made from virtually anywhere, including mobile devices and desk phones. Outdoor speakers were installed, enhancing communication during after-school activities and dismissals. Each classroom was equipped with a Call Panic button and the speakers featured displays for time, date, and emergency text alerts. Customized zones and bell schedules were configured to meet the school's specific needs.
